A baby San Pedro market! Without the crowds! I recently lunched at Berth and left pleasantly surprised. You order at the counter and seat yourself on one of the many picnic benches outside. Berth is located close to the water, but there's not much water front to take in. I shared the following: -tuna poke served over steamed rice ($14.99) -clam chowder sourdough bowl ($13.99) -deep fried combination plate ($14.99): fish, shrimp, scallop I expected a raw version of tuna poke however the version here is much different. The tuna is seared and sautéed with green onions. It's served over a bed of white rice and comes with a little itty bitty coleslaw. The poke and rice combo is quite hearty and unexpectedly very good. I liked that the tuna is dressed up in sauce because it pairs perfectly with the rice. This is a nice in medium between the fried and grilled offerings. The highlight of our meal was definitely the clam chowder. It was out of this world good. Really though. The chowder is a thick, creamy consistency with an extra bit of zest. There's an added layer of flavor that I can't quite identify. The sourdough bread bowl is also the most perfect vessel. Everything we ate was good, but the clam chowder was great. Do yourself a favor and come here for the chowder. Berth 55 is a no frills seafood market with extraordinarily reasonable prices. Do stop by if you're in the area.

Wanted to find a super authentic, port area fish market and this place is as authentic as they come. Honestly, you can't go wrong on any items from the menu, but I went with the swordfish plate. Super fresh, cooked to perfection and the portion is larger than to be expected. We ate on the outdoor patio, but you can't also take your food over to the adjacent bar(owned by the same company) if the weather is too cold and windy. Overall great lunch spot with great service. Would highly recommend if you find yourself in the port area of Long Beach.

I actually remember coming here in the 90s with all the skateboarders. It's been a while. In the late 90s I was a manager of a skate shop. Everybody from that crew met up today and got our seafood on. Such a good time ...we're gonna make it an annual event ! The next time we're we're going to charter a boat . The food was delicious. Very fresh. Nothing fancy just good seafood.

The ambience of eating by the dock is always a different vibe if you enjoy sea life. Try the fried talapia, shrimp, or chicken platter. Everything is fresh and made to order. Service is always quick.

Stopped by after a day at the aquarium for some food. And it was great the food and service was on point. We got catfish and shrimp along with a fish taco and clam chowder. Everything was flavorful and fresh it wasn't too much like simple and delicious. Sometimes when you do to much with seafood it ruins the taste but this place checks all boxes

Delicious seafood spot located at the Long Beach port with plenty of parking and outdoor seating. I usually order 1.5 lbs of fried shrimp, shrimp skewers, french fries, coleslaw, clam chowder, and fried scallops. It comes with cocktail sauce and tartar sauce. You order at the counter and find seating while you wait to be called. Service is usually fast but can be a wait during peak hours/weekends. A really nice spot to enjoy a meal with a waterfront view.

Came out to enjoy some sun and relaxation with the hubster. Berth 55 did not disappoint. We ordered 3 plates, the fish special and oysters. The food arrived timely, not sure why the food was room temperature, but it was still tasty. I was a bit disappointed with the wine, for $6.50 I guess I could not expect much. The overall experience was good, I would definitely come back again. We enjoyed sitting outside and soaking in some sun, only in California...
